History
Burnett Exterminating Company, LLC opened its doors July 1, 2019 with mother-daughter duo Dianne Burnett and Kira Burnett. We’re a young company, but we have modest dreams. First and foremost, customers aren’t dollar signs, they’re people. In fact, we consider ourselves employees of our customers; we work for them. A pest-free environment is our goal for every job.
“Inspect, Detect, & Correct” is our motto. First, we inspect the house or building from attic to crawlspace or basement. If a pest problem is detected, then we correct it. Inspections are free. If a problem is detected, we give an honest evaluation and options on treatment methods at a fair price. We know everyone works hard for their money and want to make sure their money is spent wisely.

Kira Burnett
A graduate of Martin Luther King Magnet High School, Kira began working for the State of Tennessee immediately after graduating. With encouragement from her parents, she worked full-time for the State of Tennessee while working toward her accounting degree at Tennessee State University (2007-2018) and MBA (2021) with a concentration in accounting. She is currently pursuing her CPA designation. She brings her knowledge of finance and accounting to the company.

Gene Burnett
Mr. Burnett has over 25 years experience in the pest control industry. He’s started as a termite tech, worked his way up to a Sales Manager, Pest Manger, and then a Branch Manager. He’s a member of the Tennessee Pest Management Association and National Pest Management.
He’s worked with chemical manufactures in developing products and to study effectiveness of bedbug treatment.

Founder
Dianne Burnett
After graduating high school, Dianne became a paramedic briefly before getting married and raising a family. She was the owner of Middle Tennessee Window Cleaning for the two years it was in business. She also helped her husband, Gene Burnett, while he worked at an exterminating company by speaking to customers and booking appointments.
After fighting lung cancer for two years, she passed away November 18, 2020 (her birthday).
